Why do you bowl or not bowl?

Thousands of bowlers hit the lanes this time of year as the fall league season gets underway.  BUT so many people are missing out on the fun and excitement of bowling a league.  Whether you are or are not a league bowler, read on because there is something for both of you.

A healthy & fun activity for all ages!

For the non-league bowlers, the most common misconception about joining a league is that “leagues are for good bowlers and pros”.  WRONG! – Most leagues use a handicap system that allows an equal playing field for those of us who might clean the gutters a few times in a game.  And why would you want to miss out on being part of a group of people where you can make new friends, build lasting relationships and share your life stories with every week?  So instead of spending $4-$5 daily on an over-priced cup of coffee to feel like you fit in with the crowd, visit your nearest bowling alley and make that your “third place”.  The coffee is cheap, the WiFi is free and there are lots of opportunities to meet new people.

And now for the league bowlers that have made Buffaloe Lanes Family Bowling Centers their “third place“, why do you bowl?  Some of you enjoy the competition but a majority of you bowl a league because you have formed relationships with your teammates and enjoy having this other place besides home (1st place) & work (2nd place).  It is a place where you can talk, laugh, complain and more about your 1st & 2nd places in your life.  Buffaloe Lanes is your extended family and we are glad that you have allowed us to fill that aspect in your life.

League bowler or not… Why do you bowl?  Why don’t you bowl?  Why not make bowling a part of your life?
